ABOUT DSA Founded in 1987, Dallas Songwriters Assoc. is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing learning opportunities about the craft and business of songwriting. Link to GuideStar all styles of music are welcome in the DSA, and membership includes writers of all ages. DSA monthly activities include meetings with guest speakers, song critiques, and performance showcases and open mics that are open to the public and streamed to Facebook and YouTube. In addition, the DSA offers song contests, a Hall of Fame program, community awards, youth programs, and publishes a monthly newsletter, Songwriters Notes.

FESTIVAL STAGE TALENT Throughout the years Dallas Songwriters has provided talent for area venues and festival stages including, Wildflower Arts Festival, Deep Ellum Arts Festival, State Fair of Texas, Historic Sons of Hermann Hall, Poor David’s Pub, Opening Bell Coffee, Dunn Brothers Coffee, House of Blues, Angela’s On the Crosswalk, The Balcony Club, Historic McKinney Courthouse, Historic Plaza Theater, Neotropolis, and Killeen Amphitheater. Songs in the program are usually all original performed by the songwriter but can be covers of popular songs when the situation calls for it.
